Unsolved: America’s Unknown Child Update 07.01.20

We start the year off with a bad start, unfortunately, in the case of America’s Unknown Child. We have been unable to obtain the case files from the FBI, and the Philadelphia Police Department.

We’ve attached photos below of the response we received from Philadelphia’s Police Department, as well as our original FOIA request to them so you guys can see what we asked for.

Like we have said before, we are completely transparent with everything, and hopefully if you aren’t sure what to include on an FOIA request this should help a bit. John Lordan being the superstar he is was the one that helped teach one of our Admin how to do this.

We’re working on a few cases at the moment at the requests of family members of missing person’s so we’ll be bringing those to you soon. In the meantime if you haven’t checked out the original case information on America’s Unknown Boy, you can do so by clicking, here.

Whilst this result is disappointing, we are still looking into other avenues of information that have been given to us by some lovely Websleuth users so we should have more of an update, soon.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of our posts and we’ll be back with fresh content, soon.

  1. Thank you for sharing the information. There are so many missing people. Have been following some in the news! So heartbreaking for the families!

  2. I’m a huge true-crime fan, and I’m surprised I’ve never heard of America’s Unknown Child. Reading this post has sent me down a rabbit hole, and I’m sure to do more research on Google when I have the time. What an absolutely horrible story. Good for you for requesting information and doing what you can do spread the word about this case. Fingers crossed that one day it will be solved.

    1. Thanks Carolyn, hopefully our original post on the subject helped a bit. There are a lot of theories on the case out there, but we have tried to stick to the facts as much as possible. The FBI quoted us $500 for the files they have, but as we don’t get paid for our work we have had to sadly decline. There are several good Youtube documentaries and books on the mystery of this case, so let us know if you need any recommendations. TMTL
